Juvelook

PDLLA and hyaluronic acid, sized to the layer being treated

Juvelook combines PDLLA — a biodegradable, biocompatible polymer — with hyaluronic acid. The PDLLA prompts your own collagen to form over the following weeks; the HA settles the skin in the meantime. What makes it useful in practice is that it comes in four particle sizes, so the same material can be placed anywhere from the upper dermis to the subcutaneous layer.

Juvelook

Two materials, two jobs

PDLLA (Poly D,L-lactide) is a biodegradable, biocompatible polymer approved for use in the body. Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) is a natural polysaccharide already present in human skin tissue. Together they work as a hybrid: the HA gives an immediate settling of the skin, while the PDLLA does the slower work of stimulating collagen production.

The particle itself is the second half of the design. Juvelook's particles are porous with a mesh-like internal structure, small and round — which is why nodules are less likely to form. Products built as hollow spheres with thick shell walls do not behave the same way as particles inside tissue. Being biodegradable, the material is broken down and cleared from the body over time, leaving effectively no residue behind; what remains is the collagen your skin made.

How the result builds

  1. 01Placed between dermis and fatJuvelook is injected into the layer between the dermis and the fat tissue, at areas where volume has been lost or wrinkles have formed.
  2. 02PDLLA breaks downAs the PDLLA component degrades, it activates the formation of collagen and other new tissue around it.
  3. 03Skin restoration appearsThe restorative change becomes visible from roughly six weeks after the session, and continues from there.

What to expect, and when

Response varies between individuals. This is the pattern we describe at consultation so you know what is normal.

ON THE DAY
Return to normal activity is expected. The hyaluronic acid component settles the skin while the PDLLA has not yet begun its work.
3–4 WEEKS
The usual interval to the next session, if a course has been planned.
FROM 6 WEEKS
Collagen formed around the degrading PDLLA begins to show as restoration of the treated area.
COURSE
For the standard Juvelook formulation, three sessions at four-week intervals are the recommended pattern; individual plans vary.

A hyaluronic acid filler, and Juvelook

Both are injectables. They answer different complaints, and patients are often better served by understanding the difference than by choosing a brand.

Four particle sizes, four concerns

The lineup is not a good–better–best ladder. Each size exists because a different layer needs treating.

JUVELOOK — texture, tone, elasticity
The 24 μm particle, applied evenly across the full face at the mid dermis. Aimed at pores, texture and tone, with over-correction deliberately avoided.
JUVELOOK i — delicate areas
A 20 μm particle at a lower dose, designed for thin skin. Used around the eyes, mouth and glabella at the upper dermis, with the aim of softening fine lines while expression stays natural. Small divided injections suit these areas.
JUVELOOK Volume — deep lines and structure
A 40 μm particle at higher concentration, placed from the lower dermis into the subcutaneous layer to reinforce structural support. Used for cheeks, nasolabial folds and the jawline, and for deep scars or hollows. A cannula is considered depending on the area.
JUVELOOK G — wide areas
The largest 65 μm particle with a high PDLLA volume, intended for even firmness across broad areas such as the neck, arms and body. Dose and coverage are adjusted individually.

Composition, side by side

JUVELOOK · 24 μmPDLLA 42.5 mg · HA 7.5 mg — full face, mid dermis
JUVELOOK i · 20 μmPDLLA 25.5 mg · HA 4.5 mg — eyes, mouth, glabella, upper dermis
JUVELOOK Volume · 40 μmPDLLA 170 mg · HA 30 mg — cheeks, nasolabial, jawline, lower dermis to subcutaneous
JUVELOOK G · 65 μmPDLLA 170 mg · HA 30 mg — neck, arms, body, dermis to subcutaneous

Why the choice matters more than the product

Four sizes across four depths means the plan can be wrong even when the product is right. This is the part we take time over.

The layer is read first
Before a size is chosen we look at where the change is actually happening — thin dermis, lost subcutaneous support, or surface texture. The particle follows that reading, not the other way round.
Zones can take different sizes
One face often needs the fine particle around the eyes and the larger particle along the jawline in the same session. Treating the whole face with one formulation is simpler, but not always right.
Over-correction is avoided by design
Because collagen keeps forming for weeks after the session, the endpoint on the day is deliberately conservative. Building slowly is easier to correct than building too far.
Delivery is chosen too
MIRAJET needle-free delivery, i-Ject automated injection, a nine-needle injector or hand injection by the doctor — the method is selected from the formulation and your skin condition, not by habit.

Questions we are asked most

Will I see a difference on the day?

Skin usually settles from the session itself, but the collagen-driven change is what people are looking for and that appears from around six weeks. If you need a visible result for a specific date, tell us at consultation so the timing can be planned.

How is this different from Collaum?

Both stimulate your own collagen. Juvelook uses PDLLA combined with hyaluronic acid and comes in four particle sizes for different depths; Collaum is a PLLA microsphere product. Which we suggest depends on the layer being treated and how the skin has responded to previous work.

Does the material stay in my body?

No. The particles are biodegradable and are broken down and cleared over time, leaving effectively no residue. The collagen formed around them is your own tissue.

How many sessions will I need?

For the standard formulation, three sessions at four-week intervals is the usual pattern, though this varies by individual. Volume and G formulations are planned differently. The plan is agreed with you before the first session.

Can I fly home the same day?

Yes. Same-day return to normal activity is expected. If the nine-needle injector is used, small even bumps appear and are usually absorbed within about a day.

What we look at before anything is switched on

01
Skin analysis first
Skin type, thickness and condition are assessed before settings are chosen, so energy levels and tips match the skin in front of us rather than a default protocol.
02
Planned and performed by a physician
The doctor who consults you draws up the plan and carries it out. Nothing is delegated after the consultation.
03
Layered, not single-device
Treatments are combined by depth and symptom, with intervals planned around your recovery.
04
Care that continues
Conditioning before, calming immediately after, and home-care guidance through recovery — then the next session is adjusted to how your skin responded.
