Premium Pre & Post Care

Care that begins before the procedure and does not end at the airport

Premium Pre & Post Care treats the days around a procedure as part of the procedure. The skin is prepared before, supported while it settles afterwards, and for patients who fly home, the same structure continues by message rather than stopping at our door.

Treatment time60–80 min
AnaesthesiaNone
DowntimeNone — straight back to your day
IntervalBefore: 2–3 days ahead or same day · After: from one week

※ The final plan and cost are confirmed by your physician after an in-person examination at the clinic. Results and recovery vary by individual.

Premium Pre & Post Care

Why the days around a procedure matter

The condition of the skin on the day changes what a procedure can do with it. Built-up keratin on the surface, a barrier dried out by a long flight, an area you scrubbed too hard the night before — each of these changes how energy or product is received, and how the skin behaves in the days after.

Symphony runs the preparation and the recovery as part of the treatment rather than as an extra. Before-care clears and steadies the surface; after-care supports the skin while bruising, swelling and sensitivity settle. For patients travelling from abroad we extend the same structure past the flight home, because the usual answer — come back in and we will look at it — is not available to you.

The eight steps of a visit

This is the sequence every patient goes through, whether the visit is for a single care session or for a procedure with care on both sides of it.

  1. 01ReceptionArrival and paperwork, with your interpreter present from this point onward.
  2. 02Skin analysisYour skin is measured on the clinic's analysis device — surface condition, moisture, pigment, pores — so the conversation starts from data rather than impression.
  3. 03Reading the results togetherThe measurements are shown to you and explained, including the parts that are fine and do not need treating.
  4. 04Consultation with your doctorThe doctor reviews the analysis with you and discusses what is appropriate, what is not, and what order things should happen in.
  5. 05Face designThe plan is drawn on your face — zones, priorities and sequence — before anything is started.
  6. 06Premium before careThe skin is prepared for what follows: cleansing done in the clinic, keratin cleared, barrier steadied.
  7. 07Your procedureCarried out one to one, by the doctor who designed it.
  8. 08Premium after careCare selected for how your skin looks at the end of the session, in a private room, before you leave.

What before-care is for

Preparation is not a courtesy step. These are the four things it is meant to do.

Cleansing done here, not at home
Over-scrubbing the night before is a common cause of surface irritation, and irritated skin is more vulnerable once it has been treated. The cleansing is done in the clinic instead, by trained hands.
Built-up keratin cleared
Dead cells sitting on the surface sit between the skin and whatever is applied to it. Clearing them first is the point of the step.
Barrier steadied
Low-irritant professional skincare lines and circulation work are used to strengthen the barrier before the skin is asked to recover from something.
Skin condition levelled out
The aim is to bring the skin to a consistent starting point on the day, so the procedure is not working around swelling, dryness or congestion that could have been dealt with first.

What after-care is for

The care given after a procedure is chosen from how the skin looks at that moment, not booked in advance as a fixed item.

Bruising, swelling and discomfort
Care aimed at helping the ordinary after-effects of surgery or a procedure settle more comfortably.
Circulation and regeneration
Modalities that support circulation and cell turnover are used to help the skin return to its normal state.
Matched to the day
The type of care is chosen against the condition of the skin in front of us — a face that is red and tight is not treated the same way as one that is simply dry.
Holding what was done
The point of after-care is that the result of the procedure is not undone in the first week, when the skin is at its most reactive.

While you are in Seoul, and after you fly home

Domestic patients can come back if something changes. You cannot. This is how the two halves are set up so that the second half is not empty.

The follow-up after you return home

This is what actually happens, and when. It is recovery guidance and progress confirmation — not remote medical care.

DAY OF TREATMENT
You leave with a written recovery guide in your own language: what is normal for the treatment you had, what to avoid, how to wash, and when make-up, exercise and sun exposure can resume.
DAY 1
A check-in on WhatsApp. You describe how the skin feels, and can send a photo if you want the team to see it rather than picture it.
DAY 3
Second check-in. This is usually the point where redness and swelling are settling, and where questions about make-up and skincare come up.
DAY 7
Third check-in. Most patients are back in their normal routine by now — we confirm that with you rather than assume it, and close out anything still open.
DAY 30
Guidance on timing: when maintenance or the next stage is usually considered for what you had done, so that a return trip can be planned rather than improvised.

Why the follow-up holds

Follow-up promises are easy to make and hard to keep. These are the four things that make ours possible to keep.

The same doctor throughout
The doctor who designs your treatment performs it and remains responsible for the follow-up. Your case is not handed to a different team the moment you leave the building.
The same coordinator
The interpreter who sat with you at consultation is the one who messages you afterwards. You are not re-explaining your history to a stranger.
Questions reach the doctor and come back from the doctor
If something differs from the guide you were given, your coordinator passes it to the doctor who treated you and the reply comes back to you. This is recovery guidance; anything that needs to be examined has to be seen in person.
Written down, not remembered
The programme, the products and the sequence used are recorded. A visit next year starts from where you left off rather than from the beginning.

Questions we are asked most

I am only in Seoul for four days. Can I still have both halves?

Before-care can be done on the day of your procedure, so it fits into any stay. After-care in the clinic is normally from a week later, which most short trips do not reach — in that case the after-care is given as a home routine plus the check-ins, and we tell you honestly which parts you are missing rather than pretending the schedule fits.

What happens if my skin reacts once I am home?

The recovery guide covers what is ordinary after your treatment. If what you are seeing is not in it, message your coordinator on WhatsApp with a photo — it goes to the doctor who treated you. But if you have pain, spreading swelling, fever or anything that is worsening rather than settling, go to a medical institution near you first and message us afterwards. Do not wait for a reply.

Do the check-ins have to be on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is what we run them on. If you use something else, tell your coordinator at consultation and the channel is agreed with you before you fly, so that nobody is waiting on a message that is not going to arrive.

Is this only for patients who had a procedure at Symphony?

The pre and post protocol is built around a procedure here. The care programmes themselves can also be booked on their own — those are set out under Medical Skincare.

Is anaesthesia used, and is there any downtime?

No anaesthesia is used, and there is no recovery period for the care itself. You can go back to your day, or to your other appointments, straight from the room.

What we look at before anything is switched on

01
Skin analysis first
Skin type, thickness and condition are assessed before settings are chosen, so energy levels and tips match the skin in front of us rather than a default protocol.
02
Planned and performed by a physician
The doctor who consults you draws up the plan and carries it out. Nothing is delegated after the consultation.
03
Layered, not single-device
Treatments are combined by depth and symptom, with intervals planned around your recovery.
04
Care that continues
Conditioning before, calming immediately after, and home-care guidance through recovery — then the next session is adjusted to how your skin responded.
