Fill-up Collagen

Collagen supplied directly, not waited for

Fill-up Collagen uses Laetigen, a 99.9% pure type 1 collagen placed straight into the dermis. Most boosters ask your skin to make collagen; this one supplies the collagen itself.

Treatment time10–20 min
AnaesthesiaTopical cream, or sedation-assisted comfort
DowntimeSame-day return
IntervalEvery 3–4 weeks

※ The final plan and cost are confirmed by your physician after an in-person examination at the clinic. Results and recovery vary by individual.

Fill-up Collagen

Why supplementing collagen is the point

Collagen is what the dermis is built from. Its density decides how firm skin feels and how quickly lines set in. Production starts falling from your twenties, and by your forties the skin holds around half the collagen it held then — which is why skin becomes harder to recover, not just less full.

Laetigen approaches that directly. Rather than placing a material and waiting for your own collagen to build around it, purified type 1 collagen is supplied into the dermis. It has been approved for human compatibility, which is what allows it to be injected into the skin layer itself.

Collagen boosters and direct collagen

Both have a place, and they are often planned together. The difference is what is actually going in.

What happens in the dermis

  1. 01Collagen is supplementedType 1 collagen — the collagen the dermis is made of — is placed directly into the skin layer.
  2. 02The ECM structure is reinforcedAs the extracellular matrix is strengthened the skin's structure becomes firmer and holds water rather than losing it.
  3. 03Fibroblast function is supportedStrengthening fibroblast function supports the skin's own collagen production, which is where wrinkle, firmness and hydration changes come from.

About the material

TypeType 1 collagen, the collagen that makes up the dermis
Purity99.9%, obtained through first- and second-stage filtering
ImmunogenicityDecellularised to minimise immunogenicity, which also raises absorption
pHNeutral collagen at pH 6.5–7.5, matched to dermal pH to prevent burning sensation and swelling on injection
SterilisationManufactured by high-pressure steam sterilisation rather than conventional aseptic filling
OriginPorcine, extracted in Korea. Pigs under six months and around 40 kg, raised in clean facilities under animal-ethics supervision
DurationDescribed as six months or longer; this varies between individuals

What is in it

Real collagen
Collagen supplied as collagen, rather than a booster whose result you wait for.
Natural moisturising factor
Fills the spaces between skin cells and holds water and nutrients there.
Glycine
The protein that stabilises collagen's triple-helix structure, helping skin stay resilient and lustrous.
Collagen peptide
Structurally identical to the collagen in your skin, so it is immediately usable as raw material for soft tissue regeneration.

Comfort and recovery

Two properties of the material matter here as much as technique.

Optimised viscosity
Viscosity is set for injection, which reduces discomfort as the material is placed.
Neutral pH
Being matched to the pH of the dermis, it is formulated to avoid the burning sensation and swelling that acidic material can cause.
Minimal bumps
Raised bumps after treatment are small, so returning to normal activity the same day is usually straightforward.
Fast integration
High compatibility with tissue means it is absorbed quickly into the treated area.

How Symphony runs it

The ampoule is the same everywhere. The planning, the placement and what happens afterwards are not.

The doctor plans and performs
Depth, quantity and delivery route are decided by the physician who then carries out the treatment.
Delivery route chosen
Needle-free Mirajet, automated I-JECT injection, multi-needle injector or hand injection — matched to the area and to how you tolerate injection.
Skincare before and after
Medical skincare before the session clears dead surface cells so the treatment is received on well-prepared skin, and afterwards supports circulation and recovery.

Interval, home care and what to avoid are written out before you leave Korea, and you can reach us once you are home.

Questions we are asked most

Is this the same as a filler?

No. A filler is placed to occupy space and change shape. Laetigen supplies type 1 collagen into the dermis to work on the skin's structure — firmness, fine lines, hydration — rather than on contour.

What is the collagen made from?

It is porcine in origin, extracted in Korea from pigs under six months of age and around 40 kg, raised in clean facilities under animal-ethics supervision. Please tell us at consultation if this matters to you for religious, dietary or medical reasons.

How soon will I see a change?

Because collagen is supplied rather than stimulated, the material is working from the moment it is placed. How visible that is, and how long it holds, varies between individuals; the product is described as lasting six months or more.

Can I fly home the same day?

Yes. Treatment takes 10 to 20 minutes and you return to normal activity straight away. Bumps after injection are small and typically settle quickly.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Yes. It is one of the materials we combine within a Symphony Custom Booster session and is often planned alongside collagen-stimulating boosters — one supplying collagen now, the other building it over months. What is combined is decided at consultation.

What we look at before anything is switched on

01
Skin analysis first
Skin type, thickness and condition are assessed before settings are chosen, so energy levels and tips match the skin in front of us rather than a default protocol.
02
Planned and performed by a physician
The doctor who consults you draws up the plan and carries it out. Nothing is delegated after the consultation.
03
Layered, not single-device
Treatments are combined by depth and symptom, with intervals planned around your recovery.
04
Care that continues
Conditioning before, calming immediately after, and home-care guidance through recovery — then the next session is adjusted to how your skin responded.
