Stretch mark treatment in Korea: the phase decides the plan
In short Stretch mark treatment korea planning begins with one question: are the marks red or white, because those are different events inside the skin and rarely answer to the same method. At Symphony the phase is separated first, then colour and depth are worked on together, with an in-house range of 300,000 to 500,000 KRW per area and VAT at 10% on top.

A stretch mark is what is left when skin stretches faster than it can keep up. The epidermis thins and the collagen in the dermis tears, so korean treatment for stretch marks that works only on the surface does not reach the part that is actually changed. The Stretch Mark Program reads two things together: the colour you can see, and the depth you cannot.
How much can be reached depends on how long the mark has been there. That is the first thing we tell people, before any plan is drawn. Where acne scarring is the concern instead, acne scar treatment in Korea covers that separately.
Red or white: the phase decides everything
The two phases are not early and late versions of one problem. They are different states of the tissue, so the target of treatment changes.
| Phase | What the skin is doing | What treatment works on |
|---|---|---|
| Red or purplish (early) | Vessels are dilated and the inflammatory response is still active | Calming vessels and inflammation, with soothing and regenerative agents |
| White (late) | The skin has atrophied over time and the mark has become scar-like, with a dip | Inducing dermal collagen and releasing the tissue that has tethered |
The early phase is the window where the skin still responds, so it usually needs fewer rounds and carries less recovery. White marks are the harder of the two, and we say so at consultation rather than afterwards.
Where stretch marks come from
The approach differs with the cause as well as with how long the marks have been there, so this comes up early in the consultation.
- Pregnancy and birth: the abdomen, chest and thighs stretch a great deal over a short period.
- Rapid weight gain: the dermis cannot keep up with the speed at which the skin is stretching.
- Loss of firmness after dieting: marks left behind after the weight has gone can stand out more than they did before.
- Growth years: they appear behind the knees or at the waist while height is increasing quickly.
- Long-term medication such as steroids: they appear as the skin itself becomes thinner.
Why MIRAJET is the axis of the protocol
Stretch marks are a wide-area problem that has to be covered in several passes. Covering that area with a needle raises pain and recovery together, and both of those decide whether a course can actually be carried through.
MIRAJET turns the pressure of a laser into delivery, sending regenerative agents directly into the dermis. No needle enters and no heat is produced. About 0.3 µl is placed per shot at the depth that needs it, at up to 40 shots a second, which means an area such as the abdomen or the thighs can be covered inside one session.
What is combined with it, and when
It is not one device. Five treatments are combined according to the colour, depth and width of the mark, from vessels and inflammation through to dermal collagen.
| What is added | What it does | When it is used |
|---|---|---|
| MIRAJET with Juvelook, RITUO or Rejuran | Regenerative agents delivered into the dermis | Early and middle stages, and the core of every protocol |
| Microneedling | Fine stimulation induces collagen and evens out shallow dips | Light, shallow dips |
| Radiofrequency and needle RF | Heat in the dermis induces collagen remodelling | Middle and late white marks |
| Subcision with CaHA or RITUO | Releases tethered dermal tissue so the depression can lift | Old, deep dips |
| Autologous exosomes | Supports the skin's own repair | Improving the regenerative environment |
Where a depression dominates rather than colour, Juvelook Volume is matched to the volume line. Which combination is used is set for your skin and the area, not run as a fixed package.
Rejuran appears in the first row because polynucleotide is one of the regenerative agents delivered into the dermis here. What Rejuran is and how a course is planned covers it on its own, including why it is planned as a course rather than a single visit.
What it costs and how many rounds
| Part | KRW (VAT 10% extra) | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Stretch mark treatment | 300,000-500,000 | Priced per treated area, in two size bands |
This is a range, and VAT at 10% is added. Overseas patients pay the same amounts as Korean patients. The figure is confirmed at consultation once the area and the combination are agreed. We do not publish a converted figure in another currency, because exchange rates move daily. Where a plan runs wider than the standard protocol, that is discussed before anything starts.
Session counts vary a great deal with depth and with how long the marks have been there. Commonly three to five rounds or more, three to five weeks apart, as a combined protocol. A session runs 30 to 40 minutes under topical cream, with sedation added if needed, and you go back to your day the same day.
Stretch mark treatment in Korea is priced separately from acne scar work even when both are in one plan, because the pricing units are different. The scar side is set out in what acne scar treatment costs.
Planning it into a trip
- Assessment: the colour and depth of the marks, the area and the extent. Whether it is the early or the late phase is decided here.
- Planning together: which combination, over how many rounds, set for you rather than applied uniformly.
- Treatment: MIRAJET as the axis, with what that session needs added on top.
- Follow-up: the response is reviewed and the interval and make-up of the next round adjusted.
Because rounds sit three to five weeks apart, a single trip rarely covers a full course. Tell us your dates at the first consultation and we plan what can reasonably be done inside your stay rather than compressing rounds that need spacing. Follow-up after you fly home is handled by the doctor who treated you. Backgrounds are on the doctors page, and directions on getting here.

Questions patients ask us
Is korean stretch mark removal realistic?
Returning the skin to its original state is not possible, and we do not describe our work that way. What treatment aims at is narrowing the colour and the dip towards the surrounding skin so that the marks are less noticeable.
Are red and white stretch marks treated differently?
Yes. Red marks are treated by calming the redness and the inflammation. White marks are treated by inducing collagen and releasing tethered tissue so the dip can lift. The phase is decided at assessment.
How many sessions does it take?
It varies a great deal with depth and with how long the marks have been there. Commonly three to five rounds or more, three to five weeks apart, as a combined protocol.
Does it hurt?
MIRAJET uses neither needle nor heat, so the burden is lower than with needle-based work over the same area. Topical cream is applied, and sedation can be added if needed. Individual experience varies.
What does stretch mark treatment seoul cost at Symphony?
The in-house range is 300,000 to 500,000 KRW per treated area, with VAT at 10% added. The figure is confirmed at consultation once the area and the combination are agreed.
Can it be done on the abdomen and thighs, not just small areas?
Yes. Those are the areas we treat most often for this concern, and covering a wide area quickly is one reason MIRAJET is used as the axis.
