RITUO

Human dermal matrix, replaced where the skin's own scaffold has thinned

RITUO uses hADM — human acellular dermal matrix — to put back the material the dermis is losing: collagen and elastin in their original structure. Most collagen boosters provoke the skin into building; RITUO supplies the scaffold itself. That difference is why we reach for it when the skin has become thin and rough rather than simply slack.

RITUO

What is actually in the syringe

hADM stands for human acellular dermal matrix. It is human dermal tissue with the epidermis and fat removed, then processed through Alloclean™ decellularisation so that cells and immune-reactive material are taken out. What remains is the extracellular matrix itself — the collagen and elastin framework that gives dermis its density. The same class of material has been used in surgical tissue reconstruction for years.

Because the material is human-derived rather than synthetic, the collagen keeps its native triple-helix structure. Inside the skin it goes through fibrillation — the fibres separate and re-form — producing a denser, more stable network instead of sitting as an inert deposit. The particles are uniform and under 100 μm, so they hold their position rather than migrating.

Why the structure gives way in the first place

The source of the complaint is usually one layer down from where it shows. This is the sequence RITUO is aimed at, at its first step.

  1. 01ECM collagen and elastin declineAs skin ages, the extracellular matrix loses the collagen and elastin that make up its framework.
  2. 02Density and elasticity fallCollagen synthesis slows, the dermis becomes less dense, and elasticity drops with it.
  3. 03Wrinkles, open pores, inner drynessWhat you see in the mirror — fine lines, widened pores, skin that feels dry beneath the surface — is the last stage of that sequence, not the first.

A stimulator, and a replacement

Both are called collagen boosters. They are not doing the same thing, and they suit different skin.

Two formulations, chosen by the area

The eye area is not simply a smaller version of the cheek. The skin is thinner, so the particle size and the depth both change.

RITUO — full balance
Applied across the face and neck at the mid dermis. Aimed at overall skin condition: elasticity, texture and tone together.
RITUO Fine — detail focus
A finer-particle ECM booster designed for the eye area and other thin skin, placed at a shallower level. Aimed at under-eye hollowing, dark circles and fine lines.
When the eye area is the concern
Tired-looking lower lids, dark circles that make-up will not sit over, or fine lines and laxity appearing together — these are the patterns RITUO Fine is designed around.
Chosen at consultation, not in advance
Which of the two, and in what proportion, is decided from your skin at the consultation. Many plans use both across different zones of the same face.

How it is delivered here

The same vial injected four different ways does not give the same result. We choose the delivery method from the material and the skin in front of us.

MIRAJET — needle-free
Delivers the product as a micro-jet without a needle. No needle pain and no visible bumps, so there is no separate recovery time.
i-Ject painless injection
Digitally automated injection at a constant speed, which reduces discomfort and delivers the product evenly. Suited to repeated booster sessions.
Nine-needle injector
Nine 34G sterile needles place the product at one uniform depth across a wide area — more even than hand injection, with roughly half the discomfort.
Hand injection by the doctor
Where precision matters more than area. Our medical team draws on over 20 years of clinical practice to keep bruising and marking to a minimum.

Questions we are asked most

How is this different from a hyaluronic acid filler?

A hyaluronic acid filler creates volume by holding water in the space where it is placed, and it stays as gel until the body breaks it down. RITUO is not filling a space — it is putting dermal extracellular matrix, collagen and elastin, back into a layer that has thinned. They are often discussed together at consultation because they answer different complaints.

How is it different from Juvelook or Collaum?

Juvelook and Collaum are stimulators: PDLLA or PLLA particles prompt your own skin to build collagen over the following weeks. RITUO supplies human-derived matrix directly. Which route suits you depends on how much building capacity your skin still has and how quickly you need the change.

How many sessions will I need?

Sessions are usually spaced 3–4 weeks apart. The number depends on skin thickness, the areas being treated and what you want prioritised, and it is agreed with you at consultation before the first session.

Can I fly home the same day?

Yes. Same-day return to normal activity is expected. If the nine-needle injector is used, small even bumps appear and are generally absorbed within about a day; the MIRAJET route leaves none at all.

Is a human-derived material safe?

The raw material is processed through decellularisation so that cells and immune-reactive substances are removed, and hADM is approved by the US FDA as a material for use in the human body. Your suitability is confirmed by the doctor at consultation.

What we look at before anything is switched on

01
Skin analysis first
Skin type, thickness and condition are assessed before settings are chosen, so energy levels and tips match the skin in front of us rather than a default protocol.
02
Planned and performed by a physician
The doctor who consults you draws up the plan and carries it out. Nothing is delegated after the consultation.
03
Layered, not single-device
Treatments are combined by depth and symptom, with intervals planned around your recovery.
04
Care that continues
Conditioning before, calming immediately after, and home-care guidance through recovery — then the next session is adjusted to how your skin responded.
