Water in, water kept — two layers, two roles
Revive separates hydration into two steps and treats them separately: drawing water in, and keeping it there. Hyaluronic acid works in the dermis, glycerol in the stratum corneum. It is the booster we discuss when the skin barrier itself is the problem — sensitive, tight, oily and dry at the same time — rather than when the concern is density or pigment.

Hydration treated as a process, not a result
Most hydrating boosters act on one thing: water content. Revive is built on the observation that holding water and attracting water are different jobs, done in different layers of the skin — and that treating them as one step is why hydration often does not last.
So the formula is split. A multi-density hyaluronic acid matrix is placed in the dermis, where it binds water. Glycerol, a natural moisturising factor, supports the stratum corneum in holding on to the water the cross-linked hyaluronic acid has drawn in. The stated aim is structural stability of the skin's water environment, rather than a temporary rise in water content.

How is this different from an ordinary hydrating booster?
An ordinary hydrating booster supplies water. Revive also addresses whether that water stays: hyaluronic acid binds it in the dermis, glycerol limits its loss at the surface. The two act in different layers, which is the whole point of the design.
My skin is sensitive. Is this suitable?
Settling sensitive skin and repairing a compromised barrier are among the stated aims, and the needle-free delivery option exists partly for reactive skin. Whether it is appropriate for you is assessed at consultation, not assumed.
My skin is oily but also tight and flaky. Which is it?
Both, and that combination is specifically named in the product description. Excess sebum often accompanies a barrier that is losing water, which is why balance rather than more moisture is the stated target.
How often should it be repeated?
The interval is set at consultation from your skin's condition and the delivery method used, rather than fixed in advance.
Can I combine it with other boosters?
It is commonly discussed alongside boosters aimed at density or tone rather than instead of them, since it works on the barrier rather than on structure or pigment. What is appropriate is decided at consultation.
